According to the latest rumors Apple is trying to persuade several Australian media companies to bring their content to the Apple tablet next year. Earlier last month rumors leaked about Apple contacting The New York Times about their plans to redefine print media with the tablet device.
“Apple has sent specifications of the device to Australian media companies in an effort to sound out whether they would be interested in delivering their content to the tablet. None would speak about the device on the record.”
Because of these discussions, several details about the Apple tablet computer have been leaked. It seems the tablet will be a larger version of the iPhone big enough to fit in a handbag, but to large to fit in your pocket. The rumors continue by saying the device will mainly be for users who mostly use the internet, watch videos and read books or newspapers. The Australian media companies even seem to have seen the specifications of the Apple tablet.
Bill Keller of The New York Times also ‘spoke’ about the ‘Apple slate’ in a leaked video posted two days ago. Robert Whitehead, an employee of an Australian media company, claims to have known about the Apple tablet back in August. And last but not least, in statistics of a survey performed by Retrevo.com, people are hoping the tablet device will be priced somewhere near the $600 price tag.
What do you think about all this? And how much would you pay for the upcoming Apple tablet?
